BMW DIFFERENTIAL STUD KIT - E30, Z3, E28

OVERVIEW

Introducing our EXTENDED diff stud kit conversion with spacers. This is for people running raised subframe bushings with a centered diff bushing on their E30, Z3, or 318ti.

This is one of those mods that you will be glad you did the next time you need to service your differential. This makes taking the differential in and out of your E30, E28, or Z3 a lot easier. This now becomes a one-person job (and safer). It can be a little difficult to balance the differential and line up the bolt holes during re-installation. They never seem to line up perfectly. You need to make sure that the bolts thread by hand first. It can be time-consuming. Our diff studs are designed to make everything line up and lift right into the holes every time. Installation is easy. Simply apply Loctite on the studs and thread them into the existing provisions on your differential for the OEM bolts. That's it! Each set includes everything needed for installation including nylon locking nuts and washers.

INSTALLATION TIPS

• Stud Allen Size: 5.5mm
  • Stud Torque Spec: 25 ft/lbs + Blue Loctite
• Nut Socket Size: 19mm
  • Nut Torque Spec: 45 ft/lbs
• Highly Recommended: Apply Blue Loctite on the Stud Before Threading it into the Differential
• Note: We typically recommend installing only the front 2x studs, and use the factory bolts for the rear mounting positions. This makes it easier to position the differential into the subframe.
